Definition: quantum coherence

All qubits in a quantum computer must operate in synchronization. Known as quantum coherence, when they do not due to an internal conflict or interference from the outside world, they generate errors. Eliminating and correcting errors is a major quantum computer challenge in the 2020s, and each generation of architecture is designed to address this issue.

Each Qubit Enhances the Computer's Power
In a quantum computer, the number of qubits is the measure of its processing power. In contrast, a desktop computer is defined in large part by its memory and storage capacity. A thousand bits in a regular computer are extremely trivial, but a thousand qubits in a quantum computer are significant. See qubit and quantum computer.
